Our fall/winter special explores the shapes of the collective and the ways togetherness shapes us. Collectivity is sometimes uninvited. It claims us through imposed group identities, family and societal expectations. Other times, it’s deliberate:  a sustained effort to organize for change, share burdens, and find joy, strength, and relief.  

We invite pitches (max. 150 words) for pieces of up to 2000 words. Please send us your pitch by September 30, 2026.

As part of the collective feature, we want to summon the possibilities of creating together. Are you curious to explore how your voice could be complemented by other author(s)? Do you seek companionship in your creative process? We will be hosting a 90-minute co-writing workshop on September 16, 2026 (6 pm CET/noon EDT), sharing experiences, discussing potential frictions, and sketching collective endeavors. Bring your co-author(s) or maybe find one during the session! Please send us an e-mail by September 10, 2026 to receive the Zoom link.

Co-authorship is welcome, but it is not a requirement for publication.
